Sculpture Project Progress

For this project, I'm planning on making a sculpture that depicts the layers of a person. I've already sculpted a head out of clay to represent the flesh of a person. I will later carve a skull from a wood block as the second layer of a person, and lastly, I will create a yellow shape, similar shape to a sea urchin's body, to represent a person's soul. As of right now I haven't decided the material I'm going to use to create the soul. The order of which I plan to stack my pieces onto my sculpture is completely intentional to help depict the relationship between earth and death. The flesh is at the bottom because it decomposes deepest into the soil and ultimately becomes part of the soil, the bone is in the middle because it takes longer for it to decomposes and will rest closer to the surface of the earth rather than being distributed throughout the soil like the flesh is, and lastly the soul is on top because it's unknown where exactly your soul goes after death, so I put it at the top to illustrate the idea of the soul leaving behind its body and the earth after death.
