For this piece, I wanted to continue building upon my idea of the hidden identity in discarded items. I decided to collage my younger brother out of his trash for this. Vik Muniz is a contemporary artist who makes v isual art. He was born December 12th, 1961 in São Paulo, Brazil. Through borrowing books during high school, Muniz discovered his interest for art. Process Post: In Class Project #3
For this piece, I want to depict the idea of identity found within discarded items. More specifically, how people's trash reveals bits of their identity. With this idea, I decided to make a self portrait of me, but out of my own trash: homework, which I will tint to be shades of gray, and black KT tape. I know this piece is going to be challenging, so I'm going to keep it in Grayscale. So far, I have painted the background blue, and I have sketched out my portrait. To act as
