In 1964, Zeng Fanzhi was born in China. He later graduated from the Hubei Institute of Fine Arts in 1991. He is a painter known for his contemporary Chinese art.
Examples of his work:

I really enjoy this work. I think the contrast of the grey statue and vibrant blue and red background really give off a nice impression. Additionally, the expression of the subject is very well portrayed. The detail that I like the absolute most is the cracked effect that this painting has. It's very well done, and I would love to try out techniques in order to achieve this.

This painting is captivating. This feeling comes from the man's stare for me. Similar to the last painting, the expression, color, and brushwork are all so impressive. I especially like the dripping effect and would love to try it out for myself.

The same themes I noticed from the last two paintings are still present here. The contrast of the colors is seen through the orange tiger peering through the dark black and blue woods. The expression can be especially noticed by the tiger's eyes. The eye's staring back into the viewer gives a sense that the viewer is the tiger's next prey. Lastly, the brushwork is very impressive. All the tangled sticks are placed so purposefully giving a look that does not have too much or too little lines.
