Process Post: In Class Project #3

For this piece, I want to depict the idea of identity found within discarded items. More specifically, how people's trash reveals bits of their identity. With this idea, I decided to make a self portrait of me, but out of my own trash: homework, which I will tint to be shades of gray, and black KT tape. I know this piece is going to be challenging, so I'm going to keep it in Grayscale. So far, I have painted the background blue, and I have sketched out my portrait. To act as a guideline, I blocked out shapes and labelled them to match with the trash I was using. For example, I labelled some areas as "DD," which means dark-dark/KT tape trash.
